LORD OVER LITTLE

I think the topic pretty much speaks for itself. A lot of us want to become captain(s) of industries, adorn the cover of Forbes magazine, named among the high and mighty of our society yet lack one basic attitude which is requisite for greatness: FAITHFULNESS. How faithful are you with the little that has been committed into your hands, before you start aiming for the stars? I know it is a tough one, but can I tell you one basic truth of life? If you can’t be found faithful over little you can’t be faithful over much. If you can’t give out of the little you have, you can’t give when you have much. It is your attitude in your days of little beginnings that will determine how far and how relevant you will be in the future. You might look at what you have or are currently doing as irrelevant or small, but let me announce to you that King David was found faithful in looking after his father’s little flocks, and so God placed him in charge of His vast flocks (the children of Israel). Have you ever given the saying that says: To whom much is given, much is expected” a thought? You need to know that before much will be given to you, you must have been found faithful in the little that has been committed into your care, be it business (yours or someone else’s), political position, an assigned task or what have you. Permit me to tell you that it is in little things that real men are known because that is the breeding and preparation ground for greater feats. What will be the fate of a soldier who is learning to shoot in the battle field? God is a God of process and such is the principle of life; you must learn to crawl, walk, run then fly, you can never bypass any of the process and if you do, it is evident that the end result is doom. The story of the Talent found in the book of Matthew 25: 14 – 30 is a complete and a detailed illustration of all that have been discussed so far. I perfectly understood the frustration of Aliko Dangote when he lamented that Nigerian youths wants to become as rich as he overnight forgetting that it took him 30 years to get to where he is today. Speaking of Dangote, if he wasn’t found faithful with the Five Hundred thousand Naira loan his grandfather Alhaji Dantata committed into his hands I don’t think he would be placed in charge of the billions of Dollars he lords over.
It is time for you to wake up from your slumber and be faithful over the little that has been committed into your care that is the pathway to greatness. Until I come your way next time, I remain your brother and friend
Alvin
