I know a couple of people are
wondering what is it with this guy and colours? Well, I will tell you that in Brand
Communication, the use of colours is very important in forming Brand Perception
and Identifying a Brand, hence it becomes imperative. Research has shown that
the first colour a child identifies at birth is the colour RED so don’t wonder
why indomie use the colour RED for all their adverts. Have you also wondered
why most of the fast food business use the colour RED for their Brand colours?
In the psychology of colour beside being a stimulant, RED speaks of urgency, something
fresh, hot and ready!Which is a very crucial message for these fast food
businesses to pass across. I need not begin to mention names but in your mind,
you can begin to take a head count and you will agree with me that I am on
point. The colour RED catches your attention even when you don’t know it does,
that is why you can drive past a fast food joint and not notice and one a day
you are hungry, your mind tells you that you drove past a
fast food joint sometime ago. Research has also shown that meals served in RED
dishes are likely to be more eaten than any other colour of dish. Need I say
more?
